He didn’t do anything wrong, and he didn’t make a move or anything. In fact, he stayed in the cab outside my front door until he was sure I was inside and safe. It was actually quite sweet. But whenever I tell people that story they reel back in horror.
Anyway, back to the point… Here in Canberra, I have caught taxis to and from work every day, and I would have to say that 30% have been young non-foreign men.

Take2: Bachelor Number Seventeen – first date
Posted on December 9, 2010 by Take2| Leave a comment
“Ain’t too proud to beg, please don’t leave me girl” The TemptationsBachelor Number Seventeen was a keen one. After just an hour of chatting online, he closed off our first conversation with “You get me, you really get me.” Intense.
We arranged for a first date a week ago, but he had to help out a friend who needed to go to hospital, so our date was cancelled. Last night, we finally met. He had already prepared me saying that he didn’t do ‘meals’ for first dates, so we arranged to have a drink or two at the Holland Park Hotel and see where it went from there.
